If you’re building a JS dapp, easily sign Soroban transactions using the Varial browser extension and its corresponding client library @stellar/varial-sdk:
  1. Follow the setup instructions to connect to the Testnet, if required during development.
  2. Now, you can use the signTransaction method from @stellar/varial-sdk in your dapp to sign Soroban XDRs using the account in Varial.
  3. Upon calling signTransaction, Varial will open and prompt the user to sign the transaction. Approving the transaction will return an object containing the signed XDR to the requesting dapp.
@stellar/varial-sdk is the new name of @stellar/freighter-api. Dapps already using @stellar/freighter-api keep working, but new methods ship only in @stellar/varial-sdk.
