# Config Settings Snapshot

> Reference documentation for the Config Settings Snapshot table in Hubble's Silver data dictionary.

## Table Metadata

| Property | Configuration |
| - | - |
| Natural Key(s) | config\_setting\_name, valid\_from |
| Partition Field(s) | N/A |
| Clustered Field(s) | N/A |
| Documentation | [dbt docs](http://www.stellar-dbt-docs.com/#!/model/model.stellar_dbt_public.config_settings_snapshot) |

This table captures historical snapshots of the Stellar network's configuration settings. It unpivots the individual setting columns from the `config_settings` table into one row per setting per change, and tracks the validity of each value over time.

Each row represents a specific setting related to transaction limits, ledger constraints, fees, and other network parameters. The `valid_from` and `valid_to` timestamps identify when each setting was active.

## Column Details

| Name | Description | Data Type | Domain Values | Required? | Notes |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| config\_setting\_name | The name of the configuration setting (metric) extracted from the source table. Each row represents a different setting tracked over time. | STRING | | Yes | Natural Key. Corresponds to a column name on the bronze [Config Settings](https://developers.stellar.org/docs/data/analytics/hubble/data-catalog/data-dictionary/bronze/config-settings.md) table. |
| setting\_value | The numeric value associated with the configuration setting. This value represents the active limit, fee, or constraint set by the network. | INTEGER | | Yes | |
| valid\_from | The timestamp when this snapshot row was first inserted and became effective. This helps in tracking changes over time. | TIMESTAMP | | Yes | Natural Key. |
| valid\_to | The timestamp when this row is no longer valid. If `null`, the setting is currently active. | TIMESTAMP | | No | |
| is\_current\_setting | Boolean flag indicating if the setting is currently in effect (`true` if `valid_to` is null). | BOOLEAN | | Yes | |
